Playing with "Mia Mia"

Dear Eloise,
You have been seeing a lot more of your friend Mia! She is now starting to walk, and you have enjoyed watching her!  Maybe she will teach you a few things! You both are just happy girls. Every time your daddy comes in the room, he says "Elles Belles!" and "Mia Mia!" and you both just light up, smiling at him!

Looks to me like you both are having such a great time!

I love you very much, and I hope that you continue to be a sweet girl that other children like to play with.

Sick Little Girl

Dear Eloise,
This Wednesday, August 8th, you were not feeling very good! You acted a little whiny today, but nothing to let me know you were feeling terrible!

This was your first time riding in a buggy today!

We went to church, and while we were listening to a speaker, your Coppy came in to get us. He said you had thrown up, and it was a whole lot! We knew something was not right, because you hardly ever get sick. You threw up ALLLLL over Bosey! I've never seen anything like it! So we went to change your clothes, and you threw up again. Then you threw up walking towards the car, and twice in the car. We called Dr. Narayanan and they said to give you some Pedialyte and if you could keep that down, you would be ok. So we got you some, but you DID NOT want it (we knew you were feeling bad, because you always reached for a bottle) but we finally got you to drink a tablespoon of it, and you threw it up everywhere! So off we went to the hospital! They checked us in pretty quickly and the first nurse was in love with you! She said you were the cutest thing! She even got you to smile a few times, even though you threw up twice while we were talking to her! They sent us to a room, where Coppy and Bosey met us. The Dr. said she wanted you to  stay in the other, more serious, side since you were so little. So we moved rooms again! We waited and waited and you finally got some good sleep. When you woke up, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Tyler, Gammy, and Papow were there to see you also! You woke up in a much better mood. You were rolling over and playing with your toes. They took so long that you finally started to get hungry again. You would see me and start crying!! So after 4 hours there, they let you have a little Pedialyte and then 15 mins later they let you have some more. You kept it all down, so we were able to feed you and you did fine! So we finally got to take you home!

WHEW! Talk about a scared Momma and Daddy! This is the kind of stuff that they do not prepare you for when you are getting ready to start a family. We all prayed and prayed for you. I know that God answers prayers! He loves you, and we do too!
I love you.

Miss Mia Comes to Play!

Dear Eloise,
In order for me to quit teaching and to stay home with you, I needed to make a little bit of money. Your dad and I decided it would be best if I kept children at our house with me and you! This is why your friend Mia first started coming over! The first time you two met, it went really well! She was such a sweet girl, and you were the same! At one point, Mia wanted a toy that you had, so she "traded" you her sippy cup for your toy. You looked at her cup like it was from another planet! Mia, like you, loves my necklace. You both sat in my lap and Mia played with my necklace while you tried to pull her hair! It was a pretty funny sight.

Here is a video of the two of you talking to each other!

This is you in your exersaucer and Mia playing with you!

This is at Mia's learning table. You had SO much fun! I think you liked it because it had loud noises! :)

This is after Mia traded you her sippy cup for your toy!

I think you and Mia will be great friends. I sure hope so anyway!

I hope that you stay the sweet girl that you are right now. You are always a happy baby and you love to get the attention of others and to smile at them! You are a wonderful blessing!
I love you.

6 Months Old!

Dear Eloise,

My my.... you are six months old now! I can NOT believe it!

You are growing up so quickly. I blink and something changes about you! You are doing such big girl things now. You can sit up on the floor to play with your toys all by yourself!

You love to play in your exersaucer!

And on the walker!

You can also safely eat carrots now!

You love to ROLL ALL OVER THE HOUSE!

You are such a great shopper!

And now I have to watch you constantly!

I love you so much and I can't believe how fast you are growing! If I could, I would freeze time so that you will always be my little baby girl.

Uncle Caleb Graduates High School!

Dear Eloise,
May 26th your Uncle Caleb graduated from Center Hill High School! We are so proud of him!

You and Aunt Sarah

Me and Aunt Sarah were helping Uncle Caleb fix his shirt because he was HOT!

You were SO MAD! I was not a good mommy and I forgot your Paci!
We had a "backup" one, but it was NOT what you wanted!

You were mad as a hornet!

Your Uncle Caleb is a great man. We love him very much and we are so proud of him. I know he is going to grow up to be a wonderful uncle to you, and that you are going to love him as much as we do!
I love you!

Mud Island

Dear Eloise,
Friday, July 27th, we went with Bosey, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Ronnie, Laura, Natalie, Julia, Audra, and Trent to Mud Island! It was so much fun and everyone had a blast!!

To start the trip, we stopped by to get some of Gus' fried chicken.
While waiting, you had a little (nasty) incident. Gross.

The group minus me and Uncle Ronnie!

Bosey, Julia, and you as we were walking across the bridge to the Island!

Once we got to Mud Island, we had a picnic. After our picnic the kids all played in the "Mississippi River" and got soaking wet! You did not seem to like the water very much, I think it was too cold for your liking. You were sooo good while the kids played!

Laura jumped right in the water and decided to get SOAKING WET!

Then Audra decided she wanted to also! It was COLD!

Bosey and Aunt Barbara with their grand girls!

All the kids walked along the river following each other

they even climbed under bridges

I thought this was funny!
I later went in and bought you a little toy sailboat.

You started to get just a LITTLE tired!

The kids saw a barge going up the river and started asking them to blow the horn.
A man who worked on the boat saw them and told the captain to blow the horn!

Your Aunt Summer couldn't go... but her work was watching us! lol

Our view of Downtown Memphis

The kids played in the fountain at the end of the river, aka the ocean

Hungry!

You finally decided to wake up!
You are always happy after a nap!

Crazy Kids!

I like this picture!

After we left Mud Island, we went on a trolly ride around downtown!
This was my first time on a trolly as well as yours!
I think you slept through the first half, but eventually, the horn on the trolly woke you up!

 It was a perfect day!
