The Arrival of Miss Eloise!

Dear Eloise,

When you decided to come into the world,  you were 6 days earlier than the date the Dr. gave me. Your Aunt Summer and I danced to a workout video called "Sweating to the Oldies" that Sunday and then I danced to a game on the Wii called "Just Dance" on Monday! I was ready to get you out, and I think it worked!

Monday night your dad and I were reading a devotional together and talking about our future together. I began to notice that something felt a little different. We decided to go ahead and start getting ready to go to the hospital. We took our time, because I didn't think you were quite ready yet! Oh and your dad had to go to the gas station and get some gas for our Escape. He had been so good about keeping my car filled up on gas incase you arrived, but the ONE DAY that he didn't, you decided to show up! :) So anyway, we drove to the hospital where they almost sent me back home!! They said they didn't think you were ready, but you were!

We arrived at the hospital around 4:30 a.m. and by 11:10 you were here!

After you were born, you had a really hard time breathing. They had to put you on an oxygen mask to help you breathe. We were really scared and nervous because we weren't sure exactly why you were having such a hard time. Your lips and face started turning blue. The Dr. said it may have been because you came out so quickly. You were on an oxygen mask for around 2 hours, but then they said you were a whole lot better and didn't need it anymore!

You had many family members come and visit you!

Your dad and I decided to only stay at the hospital one night. (Your daddy did NOT like the couch in my hospital room!) We were ready to get you home. We did not like having to worry about others taking care of you, so we decided to go! The Doctor and Nurse thought we were CRAZY!

Your Aunt Sarah and Aunt Shannon followed me and your daddy home. When we got home, Uncle Tyler, Uncle Ben, Uncle Caleb, Pappow, Gammy, and Hannah were there waiting on us!

So this is the short story of your birth!
I love you!
~Mom
