Sick Little Girl

Dear Eloise,
This Wednesday, August 8th, you were not feeling very good! You acted a little whiny today, but nothing to let me know you were feeling terrible!

This was your first time riding in a buggy today!

We went to church, and while we were listening to a speaker, your Coppy came in to get us. He said you had thrown up, and it was a whole lot! We knew something was not right, because you hardly ever get sick. You threw up ALLLLL over Bosey! I've never seen anything like it! So we went to change your clothes, and you threw up again. Then you threw up walking towards the car, and twice in the car. We called Dr. Narayanan and they said to give you some Pedialyte and if you could keep that down, you would be ok. So we got you some, but you DID NOT want it (we knew you were feeling bad, because you always reached for a bottle) but we finally got you to drink a tablespoon of it, and you threw it up everywhere! So off we went to the hospital! They checked us in pretty quickly and the first nurse was in love with you! She said you were the cutest thing! She even got you to smile a few times, even though you threw up twice while we were talking to her! They sent us to a room, where Coppy and Bosey met us. The Dr. said she wanted you to  stay in the other, more serious, side since you were so little. So we moved rooms again! We waited and waited and you finally got some good sleep. When you woke up, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Tyler, Gammy, and Papow were there to see you also! You woke up in a much better mood. You were rolling over and playing with your toes. They took so long that you finally started to get hungry again. You would see me and start crying!! So after 4 hours there, they let you have a little Pedialyte and then 15 mins later they let you have some more. You kept it all down, so we were able to feed you and you did fine! So we finally got to take you home!

WHEW! Talk about a scared Momma and Daddy! This is the kind of stuff that they do not prepare you for when you are getting ready to start a family. We all prayed and prayed for you. I know that God answers prayers! He loves you, and we do too!
I love you.

Miss Mia Comes to Play!

Dear Eloise,
In order for me to quit teaching and to stay home with you, I needed to make a little bit of money. Your dad and I decided it would be best if I kept children at our house with me and you! This is why your friend Mia first started coming over! The first time you two met, it went really well! She was such a sweet girl, and you were the same! At one point, Mia wanted a toy that you had, so she "traded" you her sippy cup for your toy. You looked at her cup like it was from another planet! Mia, like you, loves my necklace. You both sat in my lap and Mia played with my necklace while you tried to pull her hair! It was a pretty funny sight.

Here is a video of the two of you talking to each other!

This is you in your exersaucer and Mia playing with you!

This is at Mia's learning table. You had SO much fun! I think you liked it because it had loud noises! :)

This is after Mia traded you her sippy cup for your toy!

I think you and Mia will be great friends. I sure hope so anyway!

I hope that you stay the sweet girl that you are right now. You are always a happy baby and you love to get the attention of others and to smile at them! You are a wonderful blessing!
I love you.

6 Months Old!

Dear Eloise,

My my.... you are six months old now! I can NOT believe it!

You are growing up so quickly. I blink and something changes about you! You are doing such big girl things now. You can sit up on the floor to play with your toys all by yourself!

You love to play in your exersaucer!

And on the walker!

You can also safely eat carrots now!

You love to ROLL ALL OVER THE HOUSE!

You are such a great shopper!

And now I have to watch you constantly!

I love you so much and I can't believe how fast you are growing! If I could, I would freeze time so that you will always be my little baby girl.
