Ten in the Bed

Dear Ellie,
I want to teach you a song, it's called Ten in the Bed! It goes....

Ten in the Bed
Ten in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Nine in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Eight in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Seven in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Six in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Five in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Four in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Three in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
Two in the bed
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
One in the bed
And the little one said,
"Good night!"
Ellie, do you know what this song has in common with you? The fact that on Monday, June 25, 2012 you rolled over! You were a day shy of being 19 weeks old! This is a huge deal for all of us. We have been working on trying to get you to roll over for weeks now, but you have never really seemed interested. I think it is because you do not like to be on your tummy. In fact, after you rolled over and we were done yelling and cheering, you got mad because you did NOT want to be on your tummy anymore! :) When we went to the doctor last Thursday, we had to tell your doctor that you had not rolled over yet, and he called you lazy! Well baby, you are no longer lazy! (although I don't think you will be rolling over a lot anyway) I am so proud of you!
Love,
Mom

9 Months in the Making- Pregnancy

Dear Ellie,
Before you were born, we prayed for you! We prayed that you would be a healthy baby and that we would be wonderful parents for you. We prayed that God would protect you. We also prayed and thanked God for you! Even though we didn't know you, we knew that we loved you and that you were created for a purpose. We were so excited to meet you! Did you know that the whole pregnancy, I never got sick! A few days during the first few weeks I felt a little nauseous, but your dad threw up more than I did! While I was pregnant, I gained 32 pounds all together, which was around what the Dr. told me I should gain. I felt HUUUUGE. We both knew that you were going to be a big baby. We told the Dr. that we were both big babies, but I don't think he believed us! When I look back at these pictures, I think, "Ouch! I was huge!" but goodness, you were worth it!
I love you,
Mom
